I know what you're thinking..."man, the economy must really suck if EVEN Starbucks is starting to layoff people". But I promise you, the company is only losing money due to the fact that not only am I not indulging in my latte every morning, the mere thought of it is enough to send me running to the nearest toilet or garbage can etc.
Attempts at being funny aside, I think I've only eaten rice chex and bagels for the last week! The thought of anything else just makes my stomach turn. (Except of course fried foods and the occasional doughnut...our friends are certain were having a boy just like Tim because aside from the aforementioned foods baby nice already wants to eat fried foods like daddy!)
The nausea doesn't upset me too much. It's all temporary and all for a good cause. Today baby nice is 8 weeks and 3 days in my belly and 7 more months seems like a life time to wait! People tell me it will all pass quickly but I somehow doubt that.
Next Dr's appointment is the 25th of March and that's just to get a vat of blood drawn.

A heartbeat
After a very difficult first doctors visit about the baby and a huge emotional roller coaster, today is the beginning of the end of that roller coaster. We had our second appointment at the hospital today to see if things were going well after all that we've been through the past few weeks. I saw the heartbeat of a tiny little growing baby inside Kristen today! It was basicaly a single flickering pixel on the low resolution monitor, but what it signifies is that we are one step closer to having a happy healthy bouncing baby.
After the amazing news, we got inundated with scheduling multiple tests and follow-up appointments, as well as a list of health questions and preferences and such. Everything went by so quickly once we were told that everything looked perfectly normal. We also got told our due date, which is October 25th!
A great day ~
